Although gum disease is common, it\u2019s easy to prevent with good oral hygiene. Commit to brushing your teeth at least twice per day, if not after every meal. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste to clean all surfaces of your teeth for 2 minutes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Floss your teeth every day to clean areas your toothbrush can\u2019t reach. Use high-quality floss to clean between each tooth and around your gum line. Finish your routine with an antimicrobial mouthwash. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Besides caring for your mouth at home, visit your dentist every 6 months for a cleaning and checkup.
